Privacy Policy

Overview

TicShow doesn’t have user accounts. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to. The app shows no advertising, doesn’t track you, and doesn’t include an analytics SDK.

Your library

The shows you follow, the episodes you’ve marked as watched, your ratings, lists, archive and preferences are stored on your device. TicShow doesn’t run a server of its own.

iCloud sync

If iCloud is on, your library syncs between your devices through your private iCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit. That copy lives in your iCloud account and is handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.

To keep sync working across your devices, TicShow stores an installation identifier in the device’s Keychain. The Keychain item isn’t copied to your other devices, the identifier is only included in your private iCloud data, and it doesn’t identify you.

Show information and artwork

To show series, seasons, episodes, cast and posters, and to fill Explore, TicShow requests public catalogue information from third-party TV metadata services. These requests don’t include an account or sign-in, because TicShow has none. Some requests name a specific show, for example to load its details or to find shows related to one you watch. Like any website or service you connect to, these providers may process connection data under their own policies.

Free and Pro

TicShow Free covers your first 5 different shows. Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription. Purchases and payment details are handled by Apple through the App Store; TicShow checks with the App Store whether Pro has been purchased so it can unlock it.

Import, export and backups

With Pro you can import from TV Time, export your library to CSV, and create and restore backups. You choose the files to import through the system file picker. Exports and backups are created on your device and only go where you choose to save or share them.

When you share a list as an image, or save it to Photos, it also goes only where you choose. TicShow asks for Photos access only to save that image.

Notifications

TicShow uses background notifications from iCloud to keep your devices in sync. It doesn’t send marketing notifications.
